As a Visitor of Digg what do you get?

2.No quality content
3.Community doesn't add any value
4.Its not a social networking site.(I have Facebook,Twitter...)
5.Traffiic is of no use.
6.All articles are of same pattern "10 reasons why digg sucks..." "5 reasons why...." "11 reasons why kevin rose is a douche bag!"
7.Users don't click on ads.

Why Apple did not give any official answer to the rejected developers? Why Phil Schiller contacted personally?

Phil Schiller (Senior Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing,Apple) has contacted
a few bloggers/developers about those recent iPhone apps rejections.
Many noted bloggers liked this approach.
John Gruber wrote
Yes, there are still problems, but the fact that someone as high up as Phil Schiller was willing to respond in depth and on the record shows that at least the complaints aren't falling on deaf ears, and that Apple really isn't happy with these inconsistencies either.

But why not clarify the problem officially?
Why personally?
Why trying to apease only publicized developers/bloggers?

Many are saying as FCC is looking into this matter thats why they are doing this. But
i think they are totally wrong. If they were doing this for FCC
then whey would have apolized (or at least an official explation) like Jeff Bezos of amazon.

So what's the reason behind these personal approaches?

#1
There were official fans.
Now there are (very few, though) official quitters.
Those official fans were/are apples strongest marketing team (to me at least .But the truth is if you use apple product there is a huge chance you will be a part of this team).

#2 Some of the quittters were contacted by Microsoft! Microsoft is trying to get devs for their Zune platform!
#3 Suddenly press/blogsites noticed that
writing against apple also sells! Thats why they wrote more and still writing.

#4 These official quitters are powerful (atleast influential) people. They can influence others.
So this is an important matter.
So of course Apple had to handle this.
But why not officially?
If they responded officially there could have been questions about google voice app.
(There are still questions about it.)
But as phill is doing it personally,he can dodge any question he likes.
Going officially might give Apple a few disadvantages like in future they will have to respond to every (or most )rejections.

Another point might be its Apples nature.
Do something perfectly.
Not just answers.
Not just announcements.
Work.
They will solve most(if not all) of the problems regarding apps store.
And announce something officially.(Google voice won't be part of that, you can be sure of it)
But in the mean time they needed to tame those developers who were Apples one of the biggest fans/friends.

Why Fake Steve Jobs is so wrong about Chrome OS

Fake Steve Jobs wrote a piece on Chrome OS.And unfortunately that not-so-well-thought-out post was widely quoted!
1. It’s hard to make an Operating System.
Are you kidding me? We already know this is not an easy job.
It won't come close to what we've got.
You say this? Who said Google chrome OS wants to  be like Mac OS or Windows?
Its approach is completely different.Chrome OS will be WEB centric.
Turn on the PC and go online.
Why those windows and Macs needed so much time?
Apps. Desktop based apps. There are problems/complexities  with Kernel based programs and User level programs. As main goal of this OS is not to have so many desktop apps so it will not face so many complexities.
Hardware compatibility is a big issue.Chrome will solve it.The world has gone so far! Did you notice that?
Ubuntu is a really smart piece of shit in case of newer hardwares. If somehow geeks start using it they will hack it on their own.So there will be so easy updates/solutions for most of the problems.
Bug fixing will be faster than Apple and Microsoft.
2. The world doesn’t need another Operating System.
Who said that?!!
I want.So do many others.We don't want those slow windows,Macs.
We want faster, simple, secure and FREE OS.
We want to have PCs at low price.
We want to re-think everything.
We stopped using  other crappy mobiles to have iPhone.
We weren't happy with Myspace,we left it for Facebook.
We abandoned hotmail/yahoo for gmail.
We left blogline to use smarter/faster google reader.
We just want BEST.
Google chrome OS will be a better OS if not the best.
Because of Ajax(and some new web technologies) web apps are almost same as their desktop counterparts.
We are now using those.
We want to access our docs, files from anywhere, with anything.
We just want more!

3. They’re aiming the OS at netbooks.
This is a good approach to start the war.Netbook makers don't want to spend a single penny for OS.
So this is a wise decision.
I guess you don't have much knowledge about netbooks, do you?
These OSs are lightweight. When we use netbooks, we don't use many desktop apps.
And Chrome OS is not going to use many desktop apps!
(Again netbook users have their primary PCs.If google can get into their mind ....many will switch to Chrome OS on desktop as well)
It is easy to start with a lightweight OS.Google will learn more. When they start shipping on desktop OS they will do less mistakes.
4. No one uses Chrome. Why would anyone use a Chrome OS?
LMAO.
Within so short time Chrome earned a significant market share. Not so high.Still formidable.
Chrome is the fastest browser on earth.
Why Firefox users haven't switched to Chrome yet?
Mainly because of ADD ONS.
When Chrome will have them, firefox fans will switch to chrome.

5. Google can’t concentrate on any one project.
Yes you are right on this point.
Knol......and so many other failures are destroying google's reputation.
But this is an important business for google. So they will concentrate. They will have to.
Apple,Microsoft have their own failures too.
And not everyone is like Apple.I must say they are coolest from this point of view.

6. It’s free, so why should Google bother.
Answers are given here.
7. The only reason OEM’s support it is to try and beat MS down on the price of Windows.
Partially true.See here for other reasons.

8. Google is evil.
I don't trust Google,MS,Apple,Facebook.....
I just don't trust anyone!
We just don't trust anyone.
Yes people don't trust Google like they used to do before. But who said that you will have to trust a company to use their OS?
We don't need to appreciate a company. We need to appreciate its product.

Perspectives on Google Chrome OS

Oh Fake Steve Jobs you are so wrong!(new post about FSJs mistakes)

I am going to give you some perspective on Chrome OS.

Googles perspective:
#1 Main goal is to control cloud.
#2 putting pressure on Microsoft so that it lowers windows price, office price and have less money/time on search+cloud...
#3 More users on web, google earns more.
#4 who said that OS can't be monetized? Are you sure 100%?

From Geeks perspective:
They will give it a try.If they find it good, they will stick to it.Will they find it good?
Yes! A big yes! If google can have this peice of cake many other peices will follow automaticly! They influence others what to use or not.

#1 It will have google's simplicity. simple UI.easy to use.easy to personalize.
#2 There will be apps! Lots of apps. Why? beacuse OS will have web apps!
#3 Geeks use web more than any others. What will be the easiest way to beonline?
#4 Geeks use many softwares/do so many things. When they will see it doesn't crash they will love it!
#5 Open source.Easy to tweak.

From Users perspective:
#1 As clouds getting safer, more users are moving to clouds.Chrome OS will be the easiest one to get a user into the web world.
#2 They will find PCs at lower prices.
#3 Chrome OS is not going to crash like PCs!
#4 As web is getting faster it is easy to be online most of the time. So why care about carrying a  pen drive/laptop or so? Anywhere, any time you can access  your docs,files,images...everything!
#5 Secure.Open source, remember? Chrome OS won't need thousands of anti viruses.

From OEMs perspective:
#1 No extra charge.
#2 Spend more time and money on hardware and design (to beat apple)

From Developers perspective:
Web apps are easier to build than desktop apps.
So more devs will work on it.
So chrome OS will have more apps.
And there already are lots of apps.

Android effect :
Most users are/will be familiar with google apps(google cloud) specially android users. When they will hear/read about FREE google chrome OS they will be interested.
Same apps both on your PC and mobile (those are web apps though),familiarity will have a huge effect.

Dear readers do you have anything to say about it?
